Charli (35), after many years living here and there, decides to return to Mallorca in an act of reconciliation or reconquest that begins in a specific place, the only one where she remembers being genuinely happy: her aunt Carmen's house (70).
There, in the reunion with her peculiar aunt and in her unique home, they decide, as an excuse to spend more time together, to make a film that tells the story of when Carmen, in 1977, at the age of 24, spent almost three days kidnapped on a plane.
What starts as an enthusiastic game gradually reveals the needs and wounds that the protagonists carry with them. Neither of them knew how much they missed each other. Little by little, albeit with difficulty, Carmen reconnects with the world from which she lives in isolation, and Charli (at first still Carlota) allows herself to explore her own gender and begin to enjoy the transition she is undergoing.
The director's exploration of gender is closely linked to the expression of cinematic genres in an essentially non-binary film. It begins as an intimate creative documentary, and it is through performativity, allowing others to participate in the film and through staging, that the film drifts into fiction.
